Live Oak Middle School Counselors

Greetings from the Counseling Office of Live Oak Middle! Our goal is to help all of our students have a great experience during their years at LOM.

Counseling Students:

Our first priority is our students’ needs. Students can come by our office between classes or with permission of a teacher. If we can’t speak with them immediately, we will schedule an appointment as soon as possible. We want to encourage parents to let us know about things that have happened at home or within the family that could be affecting their child’s performance at school.

Teacher Conferences:

If you would like to set up a conference with one, or all, of your child’s teachers, please call our office between 7:30 and 3:00 or email us your request. Conferences are scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:40 until 3:00 or on a teacher’s planning period. Teachers are available for phone conferences as well.

504 and Special Education Screenings:

If your child begins experiencing some difficulty that could be associated with possible learning disabilities, please call our office and we will inform the School Building Level Committee. A meeting will be scheduled to discuss your concerns. The School Building Level Committee is the first step toward a Special Education Evaluation or a 504 Evaluation. We are ready and willing to assist you in any way that we can and will be happy to help you with anything concerning your child’s education. Remember, no problem is too small and no question too complicated! We look forward to hearing from you soon.
